Week 8 Actvities

Another busy bee week!  Check out the pictures below to see what we have been up to.

Erin came in to teach an art lesson.  We painted with straws and made monsters!  Then we used sharpie pens to add detail to our monsters.

Here is an example of our monster pictures. 

We tried blind drawing.  Using a piece of paper to cover our pencils we looked at a shoe and tried to draw it without looking.  It was fun we are going to try it again next week.  

Here we are drawing detail on our monsters.  We added eyes, feet wings, claws and all sorts of weird and wonderful things.  We are developing our drawing skills.  Thanks Erin we can't wait for our next art class!  

Week 7 Activities

We did our shared book activity together. 

We sorted sea creatures and made pictographs on the interactive whiteboard.

Everyone enjoyed displaying their information on the interactive whiteboard. 

These guys worked together to sort the fruit then they recorded the information on the whiteboard. 

The children drew pictures on the computers using a paint programme.

We wrote stories every day.  Our word of the week was 'went'.

Well done Awapuni superstars for receiving certificates this week.  

Dolina and The kids made popcorn in the popcorn maker.  Thanks Dolina!  

Yummy thanks for the popcorn!  What are we going to make next week?  

Well done Ainzley you won the junior syndicate shield this week.  You are a fabulous student and role model in Room 14. 

We are proud of you Ainzley!  Wonder who will win the shield next?  

Week 6 Activities

Bunnies came to visit us! 

We talked about numbers around us!  

We painted portraits.  Come in to class and see them on display. 

We drew pictures of things we saw at Kaiti Beach.

We did gymnastics in th hall with the rest of the Junior syndicate.  We will be doing gym and PMP in the hall every week now that swimming has finished.

Week 5 Activities

Another week done and dusted!  Check out pics below to see what we have been up to. 

Parachute games.  We are learning to work together.

Welcome to lovely Te Ohomauri.  Te Ohomauri has had a great first week at school.  

We made funny faces for our birthday chart.

We read 'Sharing a Shell' and we created our own collage pictures.  Here are the children cutting up shell pictures.

We added glitter and coloured tissue as sea weed to finish our pictures.

This week Zane Ainzley and Te Ohomauri got certificates. Well done!  

We are all reading our shared poem of the week.  We take it home to share with our families.

We cheered on the big kids at the park while they competed in the triathlon.  

Well done Kobe and Zane you were amazing in the pool today.  You guys are way more confident well done.
