Museum Visit

Today we visited the Gisborne Museum we learned about patterns in Maori culture. Thank you to Amber and the lovely mums who came and helped us.

Amber talked to us about patterns in Maori culture.

We traced over patterns and practised drawing our own designs.

We then drew our Whanau using the patterns like koru and patiki.

  1. It looks like you all got very creative at the museum this week, Kymani really wanted to come, he was dressed & in the car ready to go & then was very sick, some lovely works of art to frame there. I love the colours but especially like what your pictures represent. Awesome little artists!
